10-13-13 Sermon by Reverend Drew Sokol at Pacific Crossroads Church, Santa Monica, CA
Tim is currently reading “The Practice of Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy: Creating Connection” by Susan M. Johnson. But he cannot read one book at a time. He is also soaking in “The Transforming Power of Affect: A Model for Accelerated Change” by Diana Fosha.
Adam is trying to absorb three books right now: “A Grace Disguised: How the Soul Grows through Loss” (Jerry Sittser), “Transforming the Inner Man” (John and Paula Sandford) and “The Practice of Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy: Creating Connection” by Susan M. Johnson.
10-01-14. Adam is halfway through a six weeks recovery group he is leading at a local church. Facilitating the group has already helped him learn how to care better for people. “Grief has no stages. We move through the process in various ways and re-experience emotions in unique setting and throughout our exploring loss and suffering.”
On 8/29/2014, Tim spoke at a local LA chapter of Celebrate Recovery. His teaching was “Redeeming our imaginations from addiction and lust.”
